I am not sure who took this photo, I found it on a site that had many different photos by different artists and all without any credits. I love this shot, not just for the story that it tells, but of the contrast between the two “worlds” and for it’s surreal appeal. Fishing has never looked so awesome.

Who would have guessed that they play cricket in Afghanistan? Not me. I don’t really know the story behind this photo since I found it on a general photo site without any description. While the sepia gives the photo a late afternoon look, I think that the black and white version would be more dramatic because of the massive dust in the photo. I have given the photo a lot of contrast, which made the dust whiter. However, the contrast caused the players to be darker, almost like a silhouette. And that’s perfectly OK since I also had that idea in mind…the dark silhouette players against white dust.

I just love this photo’s colors, textures, and the curves; in a way this photo reminds me of a certain type of abstract paintings. It’s nature imitating art or vice versa. Anyways, the after photo is my interpretation of how this abstract art should look like.

I love to travel to the deserts around CA in the spring because this season brings out the best in the desert. The flowers are vibrant with color and they are exotic. The weather is just right and the air is clean. This photo reminds me of just that. I know that I could have done better with this photo, but I don’t have the time to work on it now, so I’ll post what I got. Hope that you like it.

Well, if it is a paradise, then why is it empty? There must definitely be something wrong!
) Maybe there is a monster in the water!?!?! Kidding aside, I personally like to go to great places in the off-season. Go to a mountain resort or a popular beach on a weekday and not having to deal with all the crowd is in itself a blessing. But maybe that’s just me. Anyways, don’t know where this photo came from either and don’t know much about where this is, other than I would guess that it’s from China.
